Book Review: The last one I'm reading.

I probably shouldn't review this b/c I've only read about half of it, but I cannot finish it. I don't know what happened to this series. It was excellent, but this book is so disjointed I can't follow it. It's almost as if I started in the middle instead of the beginning. The dialog is bizarre, the characters do not act realistically or consistently, and the whole thing just rambles.Book Review: Tiresome; more angry, bitter people

I used to love Cornwell novels but the last several have been so hard to listen to (or read) as everyone is angry, pissed off, frustrated, unhappy, bitter and any other negative you can think of. I just finished Book of The Dead and by the time I got to the end I was bitter, angry and frustrated!! She writes great plots but her characters have become more than I can bear.Book Review: Good for a long airplane ride

The book did manage to keep my attention during a trip from Dallas to Honolulu. It is my first Kay Scarpetta book and probably my last. The ending was a little too neat and the characters were two dimensional. I don't know where she dug up the niece and Dr. Self but they are horrible one dimensional things.Book Review: disappointed long-time fan

Just finished reading. I don't understand why Patricia Cornwell thinks we want to read an entire book to get to the climax, only to have the climax skipped over. What happened? Although a big fan of Scarpetta, we were greatly dissapointed in this Patricia Cornwell book. I say we because my husband read it after I did (witholding my opinion from him)and we both agreed. The characters seems unreal,almost as if it was written by someone else, not Ms. Cornwell.
