Book Reviews of Blood Noir (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter)

Book Review: Time for this series to end
Summary: 1 Stars

Anita Blake and this series cannot be saved. It has gone too far downhill. There are so many much better urban fantasy books and authors, so it is not even worth it to have hope for this series. I don't think LKH will write decent books again; she seems to only want to write trash. She has said that her ex-husband told her that when she first had Anita sleep with a character, she ruined the series. I think she keeps writing bad porn to prove him wrong. I think people need to boycott her books so her publisher will stop wasting paper. The only good thing about her books are the titles.

Book Review: Truly terrible
Summary: 1 Stars

I had heard about the Anita Blake series, and am generally interested in vampire books. I figured I would read the most recent one to see if it was worth reading the prior 15. I'm glad I did it this way, because I had no expectations to disappoint and wasn't sucked into another series gone horribly wrong. This book was HORRID. I can't believe it's a new york times best seller! This series is all hype and no substance at this point. It's really quite repugnant that this terrible literature can sell.

Book Review: I could'nt finish the book
Summary: 1 Stars

Sooooooo bad. I loved Anita Blake before she became a slut. I have no problem with sex in books. But that's why I don't read trashy novels. I purchased the book just because of my devotion to Anita's character, but no more. This book was the straw that broke the camels back. I will never purchase another LKH book again. I have no hope left that these books will ever go back to the action packed, supernatural treasures they once were. I give up. There is no mystery or action just SEX, SEX, SEX.

Book Review: Awful
Summary: 1 Stars

What happened to Anita Blake? Where did this lame little person come from? Nothing interesting happened in this book and a once independent person is the sex toy for anyone. Lots and lots of pitiful dialogue. I liked the first books of this series, but this book is on the level of an over-sexed pre-teen. Bye Anita Blake. Too bad.

I tried to listen to this book on CD -as much as I could stand - the reader is as bad as the writing.

This book is truly awful.

Book Review: Wish I'd read some of these reviews
Summary: 1 Stars

It's good to know some people think this series was once good. . . I'm pretty skeptical. I "listened" to it -- I never would have kept reading. I went on vacation with some books burned to my iPod. If I purchased it, I would have enjoyed throwing it in a dumpster. I feel like it's almost cartoonishly bad. Gives me very little faith in the reading public that she's written 16 of these. . . Who is the audience?
