While this installment advances the story line of the series, there was no mystery as to how it would end. Perhaps there doesn't need to be, but I would have liked to experience more of a sense of revelation, rather than that of inevitability. It seems that Mrs. Rice was simply fulfilling an obligation rather than delighting in this one.
