Book Reviews of Bigfoot! : The True Story of Apes in America

Book Review: An Exciting Trek
Summary: 5 Stars

This book shares a passion that I've had since childhood. Everytime I go hiking, camping or hunting I always have and still wonder what lurks beyond the forest depths; every sound and smell that seems out of the norm makes me think of the possibility that Bigfoot is nearby watching my every move! Sometimes I get goose bumps just thinking of the day when this will come true and I finally can set my mind at ease, but I have plenty of patience for this to play out. So in the meantime, I can thank Mr. Coleman for sharing his passion and allowing us fellow Bigfooters to go along with him on his exciting trek, knowing that his book will have to do until that day comes true! I highly recommend this book to all!!!

Book Review: One of the best I've read.
Summary: 5 Stars

Loren Coleman has gathered together his years of painstaking research, and brought it to bear in this work. Admittedly, most people snicker at the thought of "BIGFOOT". Most people see it as pure folly... a fool's belief, up there with "Santa Claus" or "Elvis is ALIVE". I'm not one of those people, as I'm open to the possibility. Stranger things have been found in the world... why not BIGFOOT? The evidence Mr. Coleman presents is compelling, well thought-out and rock solid. If you've ever had an interest in this mystery, this is a MUST READ book. Kudos Mr. Coleman, and to the "Bigfooters" who came before you. I'll be looking along with you all.

Book Review: Bravo Bigfoot!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have always counted on Loren Coleman to produce credible, well-researched books on Fortean topics. His Bigfoot! The True Story of Apes in America is a significant contribution to the literature about what may well be our most vexing enigma: Can a race of giant apes be living among us? No matter how you feel, this book will alter your perceptions. As always, Mr. Coleman dares to venture into areas avoided by other writers. Here he even considers the sexuality of these alleged creatures. Bigfoot! Is an excellent study all around. Fun to read, full of fascinating facts, and ultimately thought-provoking. Indispensable.

Book Review: A good book by a man with a passion for the subject
Summary: 5 Stars

Loren Coleman is a writer who believes what he writes, and has spent a life time in persuit of the the truth of bigfoot. I found the book to be well written and informative. It was not a white wash of the subject either. There was enough skeptical information presented in this book to make even hard core believers think hard before accepting rumors and stories as true. The book gave information on various bigfoot like creatures that don't fit the common bigfoot mold, without becoming disjointed. It's a very interesting subject that will never be fully settled until a bigfoot, alive of dead is found and studied

Book Review: Not for the Birds
Summary: 5 Stars

As the editor of this book, I feel I should point out that most of this book's 288 pages concerns Bigfoot and the people passionately interested in this creature. A previous reader's admittedly "minor quibble" pointing out an error on one page about what "ruffed grouse sounds like" is a poor reason to dock two stars from a book review. Coleman's work is the best book available on Bigfoot both for people who know very little about the subject and for "insiders" looking for insights into the mystery from one of the field's most active investigators.
