Book Reviews of Beyond the Chocolate WarBook Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
This intricately woven sequel, though hard to begin, had more of a plot than the character study Chocolate War. The imagery of the Guillotine ... the suicide of David Caroni ... and even the problems of the heads of the Vigils. It was all worth the time spent reading it. Except for the rape, it was alot cleaner than the other book.
Book Review: Cormier's best book. Summary: 5 Stars
Robert Cormier is a gloomy but fantastic author. I read this book and i am only 13 but loved every bit of it. Although some parts are a bit inappropriate it was nothing that the average child couldnt handle. Personally i like the original better than the sequel but overall it was a good read .
Book Review: compelling book Summary: 5 Stars
The sequel is about the aftermath of the chocolate sales. It takes a more cynical look at human nature, showing that no one is perfect. Dark, suspenseful, and sad, but a wonderful read. One of my favourite book
Book Review: Left me thinking "Wow" (Again) Summary: 5 Stars
Amazing. The ending, outstanding. Makes you think what will happen, next...With Renault's life torn apart and Archie Costello gone, who knows what may happen...
Book Review: A sequel that doesn't disappoint Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent sequel to The Chocolate War-- although much darker. Cormier's style, pacing, and tone are incredible once again.
