As a confirmed Dark Angel afficiado I can recommend this book with complete confidence. I only found two mistakes in this book from details in the series, but only a fanatic to detail like me would probably notice.The writing is intriguing, the characters are, for the most part, perfect. I could easily imagine this as a prequel movie.
I hope future Dark Angel books are as well written as this one.

If you are a fan of the Dark Angel TV series, this is a book that you absolutely have to read. Before the Dawn gives a lot of background information of Max's life at Manticore when she was a kid. All DA fans will love this exciting back story to one of the best TV shows ever! It answers a lot of questions that I know I had and shines some light into the world that Max lived in before the show. Great book, a must have for any true DA fan!!!
