Book Reviews of Beating Cancer with Nutrition, book with CDBook Review: Clear good sense and vitalital information. Summary: 5 Stars
I have been battling cancer for two years now and unfortunately have been diagnosed with a recurrence. I have stayed with main stream treatments but was really dissapointed with the lack of advice or even interest in nutrition amongst the hospital staff. After a long search I chose this book to be my guide. the premis is simple: a high percentage of cancer patients die from malnutrition; poor nutrition causes cancer and good nutrition can not only support treatment but enhance the immune system and adversly affect cancer cell growth.
The book is really clearly laid out. There is a sysnopsis of the principals in the first chapter and then very detailed information, heavily backed up by research. the diet itself is easy to follow and the recipes excellent.
I strongly recommend this book. Since using it I have felt very fit and full of energy and haven't suffered side effects from the chemo drugs. This book is good sense, well explained and, I believe, potentially life saving.
Book Review: Thankful for your book! Summary: 5 Stars
Dear Patrick Quillin,
Thank you for your wonderful book and for all you have done
to help people fight cancer. My friend, who survived two bouts
approximately 20 years ago and is still going strong at age 83, found much useful in your book and she shared a copy with me at that time.
I now have your latest edition and am using it to support my husband in his battle with cancer. I've also sent a copy to our niece for her husband with pancreatic cancer and have recommended it to others as well.
The biggest help is the message that cancer CAN be beat and hearing about those who have done it! The next encouragement is that general health can (and must) be supported and the side effects of conventional medicine countered through nutrition, supplements, herbs
and good health practices.
Thank you again,

Book Review: An INVALUABLE resource for anyone facing cancer.... Summary: 5 Stars
Dr. Quillin's book, Beating Cancer With Nutrition, was an enormous help to me while I was on chemotherapy battling cancer. His approach to complimenting today's medicine with diet and supplements in the war against this ugly disease is timely and works! I followed his approach to wellness by avoiding sugar and carbohydrates to assist in "starving off" the cancer. I had a tremendous response to the chemo, and was able to avoid a lot of the nasty side effects by taking the vitamins and minerals he suggested. This book is easy to read and Dr. Quillin offers a CD if one is too ill to physically sit and read. I would highly suggest this resource to anyone who wants to further their ablility to heal. The material is easily understood and makes sense! I have recommended Dr. Quillin's book to others, who have had the same, wonderful results while they were taking chemo and radiation.
Book Review: Take Charge of Your Health Summary: 5 Stars
Take charge of your health, that's what Patrick Quillin empowers you to do if you buy his very informative book, "Beating Cancer With Nutrition." The book not only helps you to defeat cancer, but gives you a detailed way to achieve optimal health. The audio CD which is included in the book reinforces what you read in the book. Listen to it anytime, in your car, while you are eating & soon you will get in the habit of doing the things to put you on track to better health. If you are now undergoing cancer therapy, be sure to include Patrick Quillin's advice. Research indicates that nutrition prolongs life & reduces symptoms of cancer therapy.
I have been studying nutrition for over 40 years & recommend this book to anyone who wants to get on the road towards a happier & longer life.

Book Review: A realistic, common sense approach Summary: 5 Stars
I was diagnosed with a rather rare cancer - gall bladder cancer found while having a 'routine' gall bladder surgery. Since I believe in supplements and was already taking several, I read books with ways to help the traditional treatments of chemo and radiation. I found what I was looking for in this book. The common sense approach to cancer treatment made sense to me. While I had surgery, radiation and chemo, I also have changed my eating habits (no sugar) and am taking a better mix of supplements. I appreciated that this book does not say to rely ONLY on nutrition to 'cure' cancer but shows that many times nutrition can work in conjunction with traditional treatments and make them even more effective. I've been cancer free for over a year and expect to continue to get clear scans! Thanks for a great book!
