Book Review: Great resource for Samurai Champloo fan artists

This is a nice hard cover presentation of the artwork from the anime series "Samurai Champloo". The book has very little text (foreword and brief descriptions of the three main characters) and the rest is main character art, lesser character art, and background art, in color and black-and-white. Many of the character art are those that have been previously published in "Samurai Champloo Roman Album", but this book does present some beautiful scenary art that was used in the anime. First half of the book is in color, and the second half is in black and white. If you're a fan looking for series information (creators, music, episode guides, etc.), then the aforementioned Roman Album (soft cover) will be more entertaining. But if you're like me, who dabble in Samurai Champloo fanart, then you might find this book worthwhile. The print quality is good and the paper has a nice weight, giving this book a nice presentation.

This book is absolutely bursting with amazing art. Battle Cry is by far the most complete book of its kind. It features everything from character designs to finished illustrations and they are presented in the way they were meant to be seen with many full page layouts.
