Book Review: Great Resource!

I bought this book because I want to learn more about canning. This book is a great resource. It gives you step by step instructions and identifies all the tools you will need. I made the raspberry jam recipe and it is AWESOME. I love all the ideas and recipes. So far I have a list of 12 recipes I want to try. A must read for anyone that wants to learn more about home preserving.Book Review: I love this book

I agree with another reviewer that it would have been nice to have more low-acid canning recipes. But as long as you know that going in...buy the book for the other stuff. The Strawberry-margarita preserves were a HUGE hit as Christmas gifts, and I like all of the other interesting recipes too for icecream toppings, ketchup, mustards, chutneys. Yum!Book Review: Awesome!!

This book will make you want to start canning preserves right away! There are recipes galore to make your mouth water. The tips and comments will inspire confidence in your ability to do this, especially if you are new to canning.
Some of the recipes are for small quantities, but that will be perfect for may users. I recommend it!

I just love this book! I have always had the smaller books from Ball, and they were good, but then someone gave me the name of the book she used because I wanted to start canning meats. I got the book and have thumbed through the pages I don't know how many times. I can't wait for the veggies and fruits to start coming in so I can get canning!!Book Review: wonderful addition to any collection

This book is amazing. I have now placed another order for my sixth copy! Everyone that sees it insists that they have a copy for themselves. Everything we have made has been amazing. Cranberry rum sauce, yum! Chile sauce is like a sweet/spicy Thai sauce, yum! Split pea soup canned for the first time, yum! On and on...definately recommended!
