Book Review: Great Results but Where's the Nutritional Info?
Summary: 4 Stars
I pretty much cut out white sugar and white flour from my diet, so was very excited for this book. So far I've made 4 recipies and 3 are keepers, though all are a little funky. I made the Chocolate Coconut bars, which tasted delicious but the crust totally fell apart. I used non-dairy "butter" and it just didn't hold together. Next time I'd sacrifice and go for real butter. The chcolate chip cookies tasted good but were a little dry. So far the oatmeal raisin/maple cream filling cookes are the best, though I substituted chocolate chips for the raisins.
My huge disappointment (and it is huge) is the lack of nutritional information. If someone is buying a book like this, chances are great that they are watching their weight. Knowing what my caloric investment is would be really helpful.
