Many of the past reviews mention the typos, but who really cares? I have lots of BBQ books and this one is a must have. This book is easy to read and understand. I am telling you to buy it, read it, learn from it and you will be cooking some great BBQ in no time. If Kansas City was closer to Houston I would take his classes in a heartbeat.

Chef McPeake has written a book full of very solid info on smoking and BBQ. He clearly knows his stuff and has the ability to share it with the reader.
His long career as a chef combined with his experience at all the cookoffs in Kansas City is a winning combination.
You'll learn a lot from this book, I don't care who you are.
Book Review: Smokology Elevates BBQ Summary: 5 Stars
Chef McPeake's latest book on BBQ is a great reference for both the beginning BBQ'er and the 'Seasoned' smoker. Tips and tricks are plentiful. Richard shows how versitle you can be with a smoker. My favorite recipes are the 'Hell Fire Brisket" and the 'Jambalaya'. In my backyard I am the star of my neighborhood ! Thanks Chef!
Book Review: Yummy! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband really got into making beef jerky and venison jerky with this book. He's made up a few of his own now and friends want more. This is especially good for people on Weight Watcher's as it's all protein and very little salt and sugar. Great for the kid's on the football or soccer teams also for a snack filled with protein.
