Book Reviews of Backstage Passes and Backstabbing BastardsBook Review: Al Kooper: One of a kind Summary: 5 Stars
One of the great rock musicians of all-time. This guy should definitely be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in fact he should have his own wing. Great writing throughout, this is the most entertaing rock and roll book that I've ever read. One of the finest memoirs I've ever read for that matter. I wish he would write more.
Book Review: Al Kooper's Highly Recommended Memoirs Summary: 5 Stars
Al Kooper's 'Memoirs Of A Rock 'N Roll Survivor' makes for an extremely enjoyable reading: it's funny, loaded with very interesting anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories and is very well-written.
One of the best books ever about the music world.
Highly Recommended!!!
Book Review: Fantastic insight into early Rock & Roll Summary: 5 Stars
Al Cooper was there in the early days of Rock & Roll and his memories are excellent. His time with the Blues Project and Bob Dylan, or Mike Bloomfield are all fascinating stories of the Golden Age of Rock& Roll. HE captures many Classic Performances.
Book Review: Not enough Summary: 5 Stars
I did not want this book to end. I have been a fan of Al's since the Blood,Sweat, and Tears days and this book filled in so many unanswered questions I had. I recommend that anyone who likes him in any capacity read this book and see him live.

mr kooper has been at the correct musical intersections many times in his life. this yarn of the early years of the rock era morphing into the new reality is one of the best "art meets music biz" autobiographies around.
