Book Review: FANTASTIC!

This is a GREAT product. I am really impressed. Even though the product is intended for 0-2 year olds, I bought it for my 26 month old son who has a mandarin-speaking babysitter. I am so happy I did. The CD is basically what I hoped for. Lots of great songs and rhymes, but what I didn't expect was how great the booklet that accompanies it would be. It shows how well researched and organized they were when they put this product together. I have been teaching Chinese graduate students English as a Second Language for 10 years and I'm convinced if they had had this product as babies and toddlers their perception and production of English would be better today. You will not be disappointed!Book Review: One of the best Chinese language products out there

I bought this CD/Book looking for a way to introduce my 3 year old son to Chinese sounds. Both my husband and I are non-native Chinese speakers and hope our son has a better accent than we do. We love this book and CD. The songs and sayings are great and our son loves listening to the CD. And my husband and I enjoy the pamphlet that accompanies the CD that has each track in pinyin and with the English translation. This is perfect for parents who don't read Chinese, but still want to introduce their children to the language.Book Review: Even I Benefited from this CD

This CD is peaceful and lovely to listen to. We do not speak Chinese but after reading that babies lose the ability to hear certain sounds in languages by 10 months, I decided to try playing this CD for my daughter. She is only 2.5 months old now, so no word on her ability to speak Chinese yet, but after playing this CD about 3 times a week since she's been born I noticed that I have picked out Chinese language when I've heard it in pubic and have really been able to focus deeply on the language. I think it's great!Book Review: Excellent resource for teaching babies/children chinese!

A lot of research about the linguistic development of babies goes into Living Language's Baby First Words products. In this CD, the sounds of the Chinese language are presented through poems and traditional Chinese songs. It is easy on the ears and well produced. While this is geared at 0-2 year olds,I would also recommend it for older kids. My son is 3 and he has definitely picked up on the songs and words.Book Review: Not just for babes....

This CD is outstanding for many reasons. The audio is clean & clear. The vocals and instrumentation are very good. The children's rhymes/songs actually heard in China today. The pronunciation/diction is clear AND the enclosed booklet includes lyrics in PINYIN and English translation.
This is one CD that is helping my 3 year old and me learn more & more Mandarin.
