Book Reviews of Automotive Upholstery HandbookBook Review: Automotive Upholstery Handbook Summary: 4 Stars
Thorough and comprehensive guide to the complex and intimidating task of planning, ordering, cutting, sewing, gluing and installing every aspect of upholstery and carpet in any vehicle to include making your own seats from scratch!
Photos clarify each step and the explanations are, for the most part, clear and easy to understand - even for a novice beginner. Highly recommended for anyone interested in repairing or restoring vehicles or, who is interested in the facinating art of vehicle restoration and repair.
Book Review: Automotive Upholstery Handbook by Don Taylor Summary: 4 Stars
Easy to read. Written as an introduction to motor trimming for apprentices and students. As an enthusiastic amateur, I found the book provided me with enough information to be able to start doing some simple work myself. It also familiarised me with the terms used in the trade. This was particularly handy when selecting material from the ulpholstery supplies shop.
Book Review: A good place to start - answers lots of questions Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great book to get to see if trim work is something you feel you can tackle on your own. It explained many things, though I felt it could use some more diagrams to follow along with the well written 'how-to' instructions. The supply vendor list could use an update with email and/or web site addresses.
