Book Review: Excellent text for DIY or those wanting background

I am in process of rewiring a 70s model car and this book is extremely helpful. Good fundamental explanation of electronics and automotive application. Written at a level that is easily understood without any background in the material. Skip the foundational material and go straight to the application if you like but I found the background key to understanding some of my rewiring problems.
Short book, well illustrated, easy to understand and very affordable.
