Book Review: A Festival of Divine Love

More than anything, it is the divine love of Paramahansa Yogananda that shines through this book. Combined with a beautiful sense of humor, profound truths are presented in a very readable and enjoyable way.
Like many others, this book changed my life. Along with studying the SRF Lessons and practicing the meditation techniques, I have come back again and again to the Autobiography of a Yogi, never growing tired of it, and learning something new each time.
Listening while driving to the audiobook read by Ben Kingsley has been very enjoyable, and makes like long drives go by quickly.
Highly recommended.

"Autobiography of a Yogi" was recommended to me some twenty years ago by a friend. So many chapters struck a chord deep inside--in my opinion this is the true way to find the truth. I'm reading it again (for the fourth time) and I find something new and exciting everytime I do so. It has made me see unlimited possibilities for this earth and its people that no other book has come close to matching. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to read and understand what our true natures could and should be on this planet!Book Review: This book introduces a reality beyond imaginaion

This book introduces a reality hitherto unimagined by most. In early 20th century India, we are introduced to Christ-like figures full of spiritual love and wisdom. These saints do not exist in myth and legend, as part of an era past, but they exist in our time, with a message for our time. This would have to be one of the most spiritually enlightening books I have ever read and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking knowledge and encouragement. The principles in this book are universal.
This is a definite must read.

Paramahansa Yogananda's story stretches you in every way possible!The truths seem timeless and eternal, but at the same time they can be taxing to a westerner that must see to believe!
Your compass, though, is love and sincerity and Paramahansa shows both in abundance. Love and compassion flow throughout every page and his desire to get Home, back to that great Ocean of Love and Mercy is inspiring to those of us on our own way back Home.
Read this one several times.

A true account of an aspiring yogi who achieved what he longed for- ultimate bliss. The absoribing life story, accounted at times day-to-day life in detail of an Indian youth in search for truth. His master explains to him scientifically the elementary truth behind religion. I now see the missing link between religion and science. Scientists should read this book, whether or not they believe in religion. This book had a profoundly changed my perception of life.
