Book Review: Very harmful message

This book is incredibly inappropriate, especially for the audience it targets (early elementary-aged girls). This is a time our daughters need to trust their parents and NOT keep secrets from them. This book encourages them to do exactly the opposite. It romanticizes the acts of disobeying parental guidelines and keeping potentially harmful secrets. It just made me sick to my stomach as I read it......I allowed my daughter to check it out from the library in a moment of weakness, but from now on there is a moratorium in our house on any "Disney Princess" merchandise. We can find much healthier ways to play princess and enjoy the romance of fairy tales on our own.
