Book Reviews of Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 6Book Review: Best study guide available for FCP 6 Certification Summary: 5 Stars
Initially I was studying all 4 of the FCP Studio 2 user manuels thinking if I just read thru all of them that I would become a FCP master, however if you've seen the manuels, they are no walk in the park. There had to be an easier way, and this guide was it. I got it and jumped right into it learning more within a couple days of studying the guide than I did reading the manuels. This guide flat out shows you how to use the editing system, so that you will only need the user manuels to go back and reference specific things that you may need to in the future after you already become comfortable. I recommend this training series guide as it teaches you more than you would think it would, it's hands-on making it fun and it keeps you wanting to learn more. Get it asap and you'll be editing like a pro in no time.

Book Review: well worth the money Summary: 5 Stars
This book helped me make a completed, feature-length documentary!
THANK YOU DIANA WEYNAND!!
I had all the footage shot for a movie, but no idea how to use Final Cut Pro to edit it. I was a complete novice. Learning Final Cut Pro was a terrifying prospect, so I did a little research, bought this book, and humbled myself enough to follow its simple directions - DVD tutorial and all. And you know what? It worked. I'm not perfect at Final Cut Pro, but I sure learned enough to make a movie!
Hurrah!
Why couldn't all of life be so easy? (And cheap...)
Book Review: A very good jump start Summary: 5 Stars
When it comes to learn how to use an editing software, the most important thing you need is... footages! And that's where the DVD included in the book comes handy. For each lesson there is a project to load in FCP. The project lessons and the book together make the learning experience fun and, most importantly, very efficient.
This book is the one you need if you are very serious about editing.
A last word: I believe you need a little software editing experience prior to start this book otherwise it will be a little hard and discouraging.
Book Review: Very Informative and Heavily Influenced My Creativity Summary: 5 Stars
When I first purchased this book for a video class in my college, I thought it was going to be boring and something I was not interested in at all. However, after many weeks of going through that class reading this book and practicing each lesson, this greatly changed my outlook in creativity. Each lesson in the book was well-informed and helpful in the career I am going for. Now, I'm very fond of making videos for myself and others. This book has not let me down and I intend on using it to further my knowledge in video editing.
