Book Reviews of Ansel Adams: 400 PhotographsBook Review: Ansel Adams: 400 Photographs Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent book. However, Brassai: Paris by Night was shipped along with Ansel Adams: 400 Photographs .
The Ansel Adams book was completely encased in plastic wrap but the book Paris by Night was not. They were shipped together in a cardboard box and left on my front stoop "in the snow". The bottom of the box was sitting in snow. It became saturated and Brassai: Paris by Night, because it wasn't encased in plastic, became wet and damaged. Lesson to learn, wrap the books in plastic when shipping.
Book Review: Excellent collection Summary: 5 Stars
I had the opportunity to flip through this book in a book store before I bought it on Amazon.
A few people have stated they dislike the size of the book and would have preferred a more 'standard' size But huge coffee-table books can be awkward or take up the whole table. I think this books size works perfectly for it's purpose and I'd rather have more of Ansel Adams images in one book then go out and buy six or seven books just to have the same photos.
Excellent book!!
Book Review: Ansel for Everyone Summary: 5 Stars
Ansel Adams might be the most famous art/nature photographer of all time. He inspired many with his images. In 400 photographs you get far more than a small sampling of a few famous images. This book shows Adams' chronologic development as a photographer. With this format we can not only see his growth but also his depth something that is rare in book under $100. This volume is both something inexpensive and something anyone can be proud to display on ones coffee table.
Book Review: Ansel Adams 400 Photographs Summary: 5 Stars
I am not a professional photographer but as I cannot afford to buy an original or special print, I thought I would buy this book to remember my Grandfather by. Years ago, 1960's, I was in USA and my Grandfather wanted me to go and meet Ansel Adams but I could not afford to travel from Boston! The photographs are wonderful.

Book Review: Great book Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great first Adams book. It gives you a sense of how the photographer grew in his professional life. I find myself looking at the pictures over and over again. Timeless subjects that give texture to the viewer. My only criticism is I wish the pages were larger. My copy arrived with a permanent crease in 10-15 pages from poor packaging on Amazon's behalf. I've noticed over my last 3 shipments a decline in their packing for intl shipments. Heads up.
