Book Reviews of Alpha RisingBook Review: From Hugo to Hollywood! Summary: 5 Stars
"Alpha Rising" is a fantastic novel that really shows-off G. L. Douglas' wonderful imagination and extraordinary writing ability. G. L. Douglas draws you right into the story to go along for the exciting ride to enchanting and suspense-filled places. G. L. Douglas' superb writing style makes the story very believable, which reminds me of the good ol' sci-fi stories of my childhood. Even the casual reader who might not be interested in sci-fi would still enjoy reading the many adventures in "Alpha Rising". So, I say: two thumbs-up for G. L. Douglas and "Alpha Rising"! Who knows, there may be a Hugo award in the future for G. L. Douglas. Send this novel to the movie moguls to have them make a major motion picture out of it! But I wonder which Hollywood actress would portray Star Rider? We may not have a female Earthling beautiful enough. Meanwhile, I eagerly await G. L. Douglas' next novel. I'd like to hire G. L. Douglas to be my ghostwriter someday, really. By the way, too bad Lynch ended up getting Kaz in the end, but that gives the old guys like me some hope. :-)
Summary of Alpha RisingA failed space rescue mission lands astronaut Bach Turner in a beleaguered future world where history repeats itself, future events cast shadows, and abduction, deceit, seduction and hedonism fuel an allegorical battle of good and evil. With no way out short of blind faith and the ultimate weapon, his mind, Turner embarks on a final mission that fulfills prophecy.
