Book Reviews of Almost Home: My Life Story Vol 1Book Review: Articulate Summary: 5 Stars
A thin book, no surprise from someone who has spent most of his life on death row. Damien Echols is an articulate, intelligent, and an ordinary young man. We are a poorer society because of the circumstances of this book. If we tolerate this then our children could be next. Read it and weep. Please, will the society I believe I live in let you walk free.
Book Review: amazing book! Summary: 5 Stars
If you know anything about this story(WM3) you should really read this book. I had read Devil's Knot and followed this story for some time and reading Damien's own story really gave me more insite on the story! You really understand what this poor guy went through in his life leading up to his arrest and conviction for something that he did not do.
Book Review: Free the West Memphis Three! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a firm believer of the West Memphis Threes' innocence from the beginning. I believe Damien and his friends were targeted because they were the "different" kids in town. I hope to hear that they are freed from prison someday and can go on with their lives. They have missed out on too much already! May the DNA evidence prove their innocence!
Book Review: GREAT READ!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I started following Damien Echols' story early in 2000. I have seen both Documentaries about his murder case. I never believed he was guilty. But you never get to see the "real" Damien in either of those docs. So finally reading a book he wrote about himself was great. I can't wait for him to write another book.
Book Review: FREE THE WM3 Summary: 5 Stars
It's truly amazing how someone who has dealt with so much tragedy has managed to keep such a great sense of humor. Almost Home gives its readers a glimpse of a remarkable young man who has suffered far to long for a crime he didn't commit. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the Wm3 or anyone in general!
