Book Reviews of Almost Home: My Life Story Vol 1Book Review: a beautiful and daring achievement Summary: 5 Stars
I'm very grateful(to Damien), that he chose to publish his book despitehis rightful hesitations that hi words could be twisted and used against him. His story is that of an INNOCENT man who has on death row for a crime he didnt commit. This is not a pot boiler or a whiny diatribe. Readers will find a surprisingly uplifting page turner, in which they will find a writer whom they can both relate to and learn much from. I would recommend this book to followers of the case, but also for people new to the case.It is a strikingly original memoir, and a great attribute to literature.
Book Review: Eloquent and Inspirational Summary: 5 Stars
I just received this book today and could not put it down. Despite having read and watched everything I could find about the West Memphis Three case, to some extent Damien Echols remained an enigma. This book makes it personal. Damien shares his story with honesty, intelligence, and wit. Although this tragedy has been and continues to be devastating to all involved, Damien perseveres with hope and grace. With all the hard work of so many determined supporters, I hope his next book will be about the release and vindication of Damion, Jason and Jessie
Book Review: WM3 Summary: 5 Stars
This book was terrific. So sad that Damien's free life ended while he was basically just a kid, but from the weeds he has grown to flower, and it was comforting to know, that he met his wife through this ordeal, that at least SOMETHING good happened from this travesty. On a side note, thought it was odd that there were a lot of misspellings in the book, for a character named Brian, 'Brian' and "Brain' were used inter-mixed as well as a lot of other typo's, not sure if they wanted to keep the original text as written or just really poor editors.
Book Review: Almost Home by Damien Echols Summary: 5 Stars
I would recommend this book to anyone. It is very well written and keeps you interested throughout it all. There is never a dull moment in this book. And if you want to get the full experience of Damien Echol's life I would read it from cover to cover. What his friends write in the forward and preface. And even what Damien himself writes in the introduction is very astonishing. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.Almost Home: My Life Story Vol 1
Book Review: Amazing!!! Please buy the book! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the story of damien echols a misunderstood teen..who because of his love of heavy metal music & black clothing was labled a "devil worshipper". He was arrested along with 2 of his friends Jason Baldwin & Jessie Misskelley and charged with a triple homicide of (3) 8yr old boys. Homicides they did not commit!! Damien is currently on death row and they are still waiting for dna evidence to prove their innocents. Please read this book it will change your life ( and at the same time value it!!)
