I would recommend this book to anyone. It is very well written and keeps you interested throughout it all. There is never a dull moment in this book. And if you want to get the full experience of Damien Echol's life I would read it from cover to cover. What his friends write in the forward and preface. Almost Home is a message to you from a faraway place. It is a message from a 12-foot by 9-foot cell in a cinderblock building surrounded by coils of razor wire in the middle of a dirt field in Arkansas.
