Book Review: it made all the difference

I stopped at a book store after receiving my son's diagnosis of AS. I was looking for a book by Tony Atwood and stumbled across "All Cats..." It was a godsend. That evening when I told my son that we finally knew what was "different" about him, he and I read this book together. He was 8 at the time. If I were a millionaire I would buy this book and have every psychologist in the world give it to clients when presenting the diagnosis.Book Review: One of the best books to creat a discussion with your child.

My Asperger son is 18 and recently diagnosed, but this book was a great tool for starting a dialogue with him as to what the diagnosis means. It is also a great tool to give to the grandparent, aunts, uncles, siblings and others who do not understand the world of Aspergers. Having a book that combined cats, which my son loves, and the wonderful easy to understand wording of this book makes it a phenomenal addition to any home library.Book Review: -A good discussion opener about Asperger Syndrome

This book is humorous, but it tells of the characteristics that kids often have when they have Asperger Syndrome. It opens up a way to discuss the situation with siblings, peers, and teachers and even the child with Aspergers in a way that is non-threatening. The pictures of the cats are adorable. We have a cat, so my daughter with Aspergers thought it was funny when we pointed out some of the ways their personalities are the same.Book Review: A must have!

My son first read this book with his therapist and was so excited about it he asked me to buy it. He felt it really described the way he sees the world and feels. We bought it so we could have friends and family read it in an effort to help them understand ASD. It's a quick read, has funny/cute pictures and is pretty succinct. I would recommend it as resource to quickly explain the basic concepts of ASD.Book Review: An awsome read!

This book was so good! I bought it thinking it would just be a cute book with silly cat pictures, but this is an amazing and honest book about Asberger's syndrome. I have an autistic son of my own, plus an asbergers niece and every page had me thinking of certain incidences with both kids. I work with special needs kids and showed it to my co-workers and now there are about 5 copies in my school!
