Book Review: Excellent Study Tool

This is an excellent study resource for drive time and other times when reading the Bible is impractical or impossible. Sound quality isn't the best, as this is not a slick whiz-bang production, with lots of bells and whistles. But it is acceptable. Just the KJV of the Bible, and only that, wonderfully read by Alexander Scourby. The Authorized 1611 King James Version is THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD, so any other Bible version is just a storybook as far as I am concerned. Some discs skip towards the end, and editing could have been better. Most discs end part way into a chapter, so editing should have been done with delineation at the beginning of chapters, but not a major problem. As stated earlier, an excellent resource, but should not replace actual reading and study of God's word for oneself. Anyone who is a minister or a serious student of the Bible and its history lessons and timeless truths should own a copy of this.Book Review: STILL THE BEST VERSION, STILL THE BEST READER!

Years ago I had the King James Bible on cassette, read by Alexander Scourby. It was getting really old and needing replaced. I had someone recommend another King James version audio Bible, so I ordered one. My husband and I were very disappointed, and agreed the other readers were not nearly as good as Alexander Scourby. So I ordered this one again, and was SO glad I did. I hadn't listened to my old audio Bible in a long time, since the cassettes were in such bad shape, and I had forgotten how very REAL and "authentic" Alexander Scourby reads. He makes the Bible really come alive...seems like he takes you back to those days he is reading about! I would highly recommend this audio Bible...you will not be disappointed!Book Review: Best Most Caring Gift U Can Ever Give Someone!

I have been buying these with part of my tithe and handing them out to all my neighbors one at a time. It will be awhile but my goal it to give everyone in my neighborhood this and then expand outward. This bible on cd makes so much easier for people to get into the Bible it is awesome and life changing.When you give this as a gift your are literally putting God into people's lives as the Word says that the word was with God and the word was God and that is Jesus Christ. So give the greatest gift you can, give Jesus to others through his powerful word in the most easily accessible way. Great gift for anyone you know who is blind also.Book Review: Majestic!

I remember Alexander Scourby's voice from his excellent narrations of Civil War Centennial documentaries in the early 1960s. You don't forget it. The majesty in his voice is ideal for capturing the majesty of the King James Version. His inflection, precise enunciation, timing and overall quality are near perfection. I have been listening to his readings while following along with a facsimilie edition of the 1611 Bible. It's a pleasure, an ideal way to receive and enjoy the Word. If you don't prefer the King James, I'm sure there are good readings of other versions. I doubt, though, if the reader can match Scourby.Book Review: Great Product

KJV Complete Bible/Audio/Scourby
I think this is a great way to hear the word of God. I believe that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God so I am giving 5 stars to this product. The only problem I can think of with it is Mr. Scourbys' voice is so soothing if you are not careful you can drift off to sleep.
He puts just the right inflection in each word but it is not over dramitized.So far not only I am using this but also my husband and daughter.
