Book Review: Timeless Wisdom
Summary: 5 Stars

As a family member affected by alcoholism, I have kept a copy of the Big Book around for the last 12 years. From time to time I pass my copy on to an alcoholic who wants to read it. If it doesn't come back, it has found a home and I get another one.

It took a couple of "hopeless" drunks to create a program so simple in spiritual directions, yet so rich in practice, to remind us all that, to be healthy, we need to attend to our spiritual selves to lead meaningful lives. That self centered willfulness leads only to destruction of self and others. And, for alcoholics, it can lead to physical death.

1930's style, timeless direction.

Book Review: ENDLESS STARS
Summary: 5 Stars

I can't belive people would sell this book used :). If you have this used book please donate it to your local A.A. group. This book is awesome and if you think you are hopeless then get a sponsor and read it with him. You will not get everything out of this book if you read it once, i don't care if you are the smartest person in the world. I have tried many other ways to quit drinking and this books is the only way i have found to work. People who don't stay in A.A don't want it bad enough, that is my experience and what i have seen for years.

Book Review: Amazing philosophy of life
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is amazing. It has a lot to offer anyone, not just alcoholics, as a philosophy for living. If you strip away all the specifics about drinking and about "God," the _point_ of the book is very Buddhist in a way, very Christlike (as opposed to Christian): take care of the plank in your own eye. Live and let live, stop trying to control others, accept the world rather than trying to control it, don't argue, and so on. Whether you believe in "God" or not, the philosophy of not struggling against the world is beautiful.

Book Review: Alcoholics Anonymous--(The Big Book)
Summary: 5 Stars

If you're struggling with alcohol, this is your Bible. It is essential to have and read this book if you have any hope of freeing yourself from alcohol. This book will only help (in most cases) in conjunction with other steps one needs to to take to heal. The first and foremost is joining AA and working through the steps with a sponsor and the support of your AA group. If you think you might need help with an alcohol problem, you do!
