Book Review: VERY CONCISE

I have had Photoshop Elements 2 for 6 years and just used its basics to edit photos. I didn't know the power Elements 2 had until I purchased this book. It is an excellent teacher. It covers everything you need to begin to master Elements 2. If I had purchased it years ago, my photos would have been far superior in output. The author is no doubt a master in Elements. I never realized how powerful Elements 2 is, and what is available in it until I went through the exercises in this book. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who still has Elements 2 and wants to learn how powerful it truly is. I have gone through the exercises in the book 3 times so far, and each time I understand more about the power of Elements 2. Both my wife and I love this book. I received Photoshop Elements 2 with my camera and had trouble figuring out how to use it. My wife read somewhere about how good and easy this book was to use. The key to this book is that it explains step by step how to use all of Photoshop Elements 2s' tools. It is a lot to learn and takes time, but you can redo each leasson to get better and better at it. The key is to use it! It's nice to have this book to fall back on when you forget how to use a certain tool because you haven't had to use it for some time. The lessons are well planned out and the samples and photo work are all excellent. If you only work part time on your photos this book is a must have to make using this program easier.Book Review: Definitely buy this book

First of all, I want to thank all of you who contributed reviews on this book. I purchased PSE2 a few months ago and struggled with the steep learning curve. I researched all the books I could find on PSE2 using amazon.com. The reviews convinced me to purchase this book. The books' size and weight immediately intimidated me. Once I installed the software, opened the book, and worked on the first lesson....it became very clear that the author did a fantastic job putting this together. The lessons are very easy to follow with clear instructions and screenshots of what the projects you work on in the lessons are suppose to look like. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has PSE2 or intends on obtaining a copy.Book Review: Awesome teaching tool

I teach inservices to school staff and use this book as a basis for the classes I teach. The techniques are easy to follow, with great results and opportunities for exploration above and beyond class time. Teachers enjoy the tools the program has and the book brings the tools to them in a manner even the most inexperienced is able to easily follow. This book is a tool that can be followed when away from class or when staff are in need of either a review or a new technique. I really haven't used the CD that came with it, but I have had it available for the staff and they feel it is a positive asset and a tool within itself.Book Review: I impressed my friends!

I don't have a great deal of experience in digital photography, and my experience in editing photos was minimal before I bought this book. Now I'm amazed at what I've been able to do with Elements. The postcard projects in this book are very cool to say the least, and I've patterened a few of my treatments after these. Now my friends say "You did *that*?" This book was clear,easy to follow, and great for my photos (not to mention my ego!). Thanks, Jan.
