Have been using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS4 in a college course. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn Adobe Photoshop. I started out with CS3 then after obtaining CS4 software, got the CS4 Book. CS4 has a little more since it is an upgrade but both versions are well written and easy to use.Book Review: adobe books

if you are learning photoshop cs4 this is a great point to start. very detailed in the way it is written and easy to learn. Goes through different lessons like being in a classroom and teaches you the basics through advanced. Even though I have been using Photoshop for years, Classroom in a book really helped me catch up with all the new and exciting features that came with CS4. It also helped me a whole lot with preparing for my Photoshop ACE (Adobe Certified User) exam and I passed! yay!!!Book Review: good purchase

I use it as teaching guide for my Photoshop students. Well written and clear examples, great exercises. Review questions section is a must for consolidating your knowledge. I wish for a more advanced (Dr. Russell Brown's tips and techniques) kind of book. Great job.
