Book Review: Good but a bit much at times

I am a Photoshop newbee. I had gone through another book while waiting on this one. The book is great for new users with in depth explinations of almost every step used. At times there was little to much of Deke's personal comments which I felt was a waste of my time. I did not find the videos on the DVD all that helpful. All in all it was highly educational for me and increased my learning exponentially. I would give it 5 stars but the other book i got from Amazon, Dynamic Learning Photoshop was much more to the point.Book Review: Experienced user

I have been using Photoshop since version 5.0 and have taught classes to small groups for the last 4 years. One-on-One has given me some new insights, especially to the new tools that CS3 has added, but I wonder how effective the book will be to new users. Perhaps I am a bit prejudiced but new students need to go a bit slower and I would say that a slightly different approach would work better. The book would definitely be an excellent reference for classroom lessons however.Book Review: very helpful

Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is there is little content on graphic creation. There is a chapter dedicated to it, but I was hoping for a little more. The chapter is very helpful though. As far as learning how to edit photos with Photoshop- it could not be more helpful- it covers everything! And the CD that comes with the book is incredibly helpful as well.Book Review: Great Study Material

I am new to Photoshop and very interested in webdesign and Photography. This book helps me a lot in understanding a great deal about Photography and the new Photoshop CS3. I am still in Chapter 6 and doing wonders already. My Friends think I am some sort of a Genius. Great Book !!!Book Review: Pretty dang good
