I would say these are very similar to the Apple Pro series and I really found it (and the other Adobe books) very helpful in self teaching. I hope to actually attend an Adobe live class soon, but this was well worth the money!Book Review: VERY EASY TO USE

The classroom in a book is a needed companion if you are not a seasoned Photoshop user.
It has been greatly improved since the Photoshop CS version. Easier to understand and more direct to the issues I needed.

This is a really great book. It applies to beginners and experts. The CD makes it very easy to access the lessons and the lessons can be done in order or at random. When you are done with the book, it is a good reference.Book Review: Great Book for Photoshop Beginners

I previously took a Photoshop class and really did not feel I had a very good understanding of the program. This book takes you step by step through th program. I think I learned more from the book than I did the class!
