Book Review: Great way to get a handle on a complicated program

I am through lesson 5 in this book right now and I love it. Photoshop 7.0 seemed like an overwhelming program, but this book breaks it down into simple lessons. It is also cross-referenced well and each lesson builds on the last.
It also has a lot of overlap with Imageready. Which is cool.
Definetly two thumbs up.

I am really enjoying Photoshop 7 Classroom in a book. I have been a photoshop user for a few years, but learned it by the seat of my pants and had a few "holes." I've filled in the holes and learned new tricks along the way to make me more creative and productive. Amazon service is great, too -- fast and free shipping. I'm fairly new to PS and what I've learned can be attributed to this book. I thought it an easy read and very functional. I just followed it thru chapter to chapter. Highly recommend it for new to intermediate users. I love these books. They come with a CD and you do tutorials for learning how to use the program. It's well worth the investment in both time and money. These programs are very robust and it helps immensely to have a tutorial teach you how to use the program to help you get the most out of the program.Book Review: Adobe Does it Again!

I am in the process of switching over from a PC and Paint Shop Pro to a Mac with Photoshop 7 - This book has been exactly what I was looking for! Very detailed and lots of notes for shortcuts, etc. I highly recommend it for first time Photoshop users, as well as long time Photoshop users.
