Nathyn Brendan Masters really covers all the bases with this book - from choosing equipment, to the writing process, to production, to distribution. I found the most helpful info was in the writing and distribution sections, but there were good tips throughout. The book is also helpful regardless of what genre you're pursuing. There's some good specifics about making an action film, but there's a ton of info that is useful for any film. It's a quick easy read, and you're bound to find something helpful, even if you have filmmaking knowledge already.
