Book Reviews of A Wrinkle in Time (Madeleine L'Engle's Time Quintet)Book Review: A book you will keep and read over and over forever ! Summary: 5 Stars
I was first given this dusty ... hardcovered book my Nanna in 1980. It had belonged to my uncle ,she said, who read it for school in around 1970. I took it home and put it on my bookshelf and didn't give it another thought until I had to read it for school in 1982. I picked it up one afternoon and never put it down again until I had finished reading the whole book(in the wee small hours of the next morning) It was fantastic! Madelaine was an amazing author. The way she wrote, you felt like you were there with the characters, experiencing what they were. Even now 21 years later, I still read my dusty ... hardcover book over and over again, at least once a year. I've even passed it onto my 10 year old son to read and he thinks it's awesome! Almost as good as 'Harry Potter'! Ha! Ha! If you get the chance read Madeline L'Engle's wonderful story of friendship and courage. A Wrinkle in Time is a timeless book for all ages!
Book Review: A Wrinkle in Time Summary: 5 Stars
I think this was one of the best bokks I have ever read. I thought the fantasies in A Wrinkle in Time were awsome. My favorite part was when the three kids, Meg, Calvin, and Charles Wallace, were in the world with the giant horse/man things. In this book, Meg is the main character who is an average high school girl. Her little brother, Charles Wallace, is a child genius who will soon discover Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, three peculiar old ladies that will be the guid in this story. When Meg follows Charles to the house where the three ladies were discovered, she and Charles find a boy named Calvin who will eventually fall in love with Meg. My favorite part about this book was the way everything becdame real and incredibly believable, for example, when the three ladies decribed a tesseract the theory seemed so real and believable that it seemed possible. I would recomend this book to any one.

Book Review: A Wrinkle In Time Summary: 5 Stars
A Wrinkle In Time is about a girl named Meg and her brother Charles Wallace that is very smart but doesn't talk to anyone at school. Everyone at school thinks that Charles and Meg are stupid. There father is gone on a secret mission but hasn't retried back for a long time and the family is getting worried. Until one day Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who, Mrs. Whitest come to Meg's home and tesseract with Meg, Charles Wallace, and there friend Calvin who is very popular in school because of sports. Tesseract is where a person goes through time in the 5 dimension. Which means if a piece string is time, and is laid out is not the easiest putting the ends of the string next to each other and jumping over the gap is the easiest way to travel. This book was interesting to me because it had some time traveling and was very exciting. :) THIS BOOK WAS A GOOD BOOK FOR ALL AGES :)
Book Review: First read at age 10, still love it at age 25 Summary: 5 Stars
I first read this book when I was in 5th grade. I loved it. It's an unforgettable story that offers, I think, for a child, the ability to see things in a different way. Which is an important life skill: looking at things from every possible angle. I have read many books. Anything from quantum physics and quark symmetries to Jack Kerouac and Kahlil Gibran. And I still get a kick out of this book every time I read it. There are certain books that will forever stay in your collection and be read multiple times. This is one of them. As far as listening to it on audio (in the car no less) and the complaints they had...I can only say that maybe you and the rest of the family should take on the joy of reading. It is quickly becoming a lost art an a forgotten past time. Maybe if you read it, instead of a machine doing the work for you, you would enjoy it more. Give it a whirl.
