AWOS was the first fiction novel that I read that I fell in love with the character. Emma Harte is a terrific heroine. One for the ages. I read it over 20 years ago and I have never found a novel to compare. It's not the easiest book to read and I often had to pick up a dictionary to search for a word. Nevertheless it is a wonderful rags to riches tale. I will never forget this book.Book Review: this book!

I have read most of Barbara Taylor Bradford's books. All of them are great but this first one of a series was my "all time" favorite book. The best of the best!!! Any reader would enjoy the story of Emma Harte from childhood until adulthood.Book Review: The Best Ever!
