I'll tell you my instructions to read this book:
1) Find a day in your calendar when the only thing you'll have to do is read.
2) Find a cushy place where you can laugh and cry at will with-no-one to bother you - definitely not a plane or while travelling.
3) Make sure you have munchies and something to drink - a stiff one'd be better.
4) Keep your mind clear so you can concentrate in the story.
5) Start reading.
6) You won't be able to stop till you finish this book - it'll depend on your reading skills but I think no more than 5 hours will do.
This is the reason why I'm rating this book with more than SIX stars.
Book Review: Just Amazing

I had been wanting to read this a while back but never quite got around to it. I just finished reading it weeks ago and it was AMAZING. The movie is my favorite movie so I knew I'd like this book--and I happen to like it more than the movie! Theres so much more detail in explaining Jamie and what she likes to do in her spare time and how her and Landon got together. Nicholas Sparks is just a great writer--I'd love to write like him someday. I like books that incorporate teenagers with spirutuality without trying to make it sound too forced (and I should know...being a pastor's daughter and all like Jamie!) If you want a book that touches your heart and soul this is a great book to start with!Book Review: Lets put it this way..I read it in less than 48 hours

I was expecting to like this book no matter what because I loved the movie so much. I've heard nothing but great things about Nicholas Sparks as well, so I knew I was in for a good read. It was a lot more than a good read. This book changed the way I view life. I was in love with it after the first few pages. I literally could not put it down. I found 3 hours would go by and I wouldn't care at all. Sparks completely engrosses you in his characters Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan. He takes you through the journey of young and pure love. He makes you laugh and he makes you cry in the best ways possible. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy.Book Review: GREAT 5 Stars
LOVELY book....i read this book after i watched the movie....which i dint like so much.....
but after reading the book i watched the movie quiet a number of times....
this book is very GOOD and the movie isnt bad either.....
but READING the book gives the movie more meaning....
wonderfully and simple written...
though there were some pages where it got a bit too melodramatic.........
but suprisinlgy not in the parts betweent he main two
all in all a loveable book........
must read for teens and Adults!!!

I'll admit, I didn't think I was in the mood for this type of story when I started reading it. And, when the author said that at first I would smile, then I would cry, I was more than determined to prove him wrong. OK, so he was right and I did cry. It was predictable and yet it still got to me. It is the story of a teenager coming of age in the fifties. Yet, in many ways it could be the story of a teenager today. Teenagers always try to fit in with the crowd and please their peers. A Walk to Remember is a quick, but memorable read.
