This book is an EXCELLENT stitch resource for the new knitter looking to take his/her knitting to the next level. When I first started knitting again (after learning to knit at age 7, I didn't really pick it up again until I was about 18), I worked sample swatches of several of the patterns in this book, and learned lots of useful techniques just by knitting the swatches. The technical practice came in really handy when I finally attempted a sweater. Lots of great stuff for knitters of all skill levels.
