When someone first putts there eyes on the book A Time for Dancing, written by Daivda Wills Hurwin they will first think it is a nonfiction book, but really it is a fiction novel. While reading A Time for Dancing soon the reader will find out that the book is full of love, all different kinds of emotions, friendship, and boy to girl relationships.
Julie is the quite type that likes to do her own work and always work hard at dancing. She always gives one hundred and ten percent when she outs her mind on something or reaching a goal. She always likes to go to parties with her best friend Sam. Usually Sam is a different story, she likes to be her own person. Sam likes to goof off and hold up on her work because she thinks she has other things to work on. Demands all always apart of Sam, she is always is determined to get what she want. Somehow Julie and Sam are best friends and will always be best friends. They call each other their "own and only."
Julie is best friends with a loud mouth named Sam, but they go on breaks, away from each other through out the book. They go on little and large separation because Julie finds out she has cancer and she eventually blocks Sam out of her life.
Sam and Julie are both great and excellent dancer in The Seven Street Dance Company. They seem to always dance together in all their dance competitions. While doing dance Julie finds out she has cancer for the doctor, because of an accident of over working her body. This allows Julie and Sam to go on different journeys without each other.
When Julie finds out she has cancer Sam tries to help her by telling her about all the things she missed a school and what her old boyfriend is doing, but Julie doesn't want to here it. Sam calls her but soon realizes that Julie doesn't want her around when she doesn't return any of her calls and doesn't talk to her when they see each other. They soon separate and go there different ways in life.
When they spilt up Julie has to go through the pain of cancer, chemo therapy and the lose of her best friend, and ends up suffering worse when she finds out the results on her blood and bone tests.
This is the beginning where Julie and Sam have to travel through with or with out the ones they love the most. They soon meet up with there emotions and people that help on the way to stop the pain of suffering.
Through this magnificent journey of friendship and cancer, Julie and Sam finally find out that they need each other. They also soon find out that they need the ones who love them to survive their mission in life.
This book would be recommended for mostly ever girl or boy who loves to read love stories. This book will bring the tears form your eyes and a smile on your face. When you read A Time for Dancing you will change the way you think and feel about your friends and your family.
