Book Reviews of A Reader's Hebrew BibleBook Review: Superb Book Summary: 5 Stars
This Hebrew Bible is excellent! Words that are used less than 100 times are defined in footnotes on the bottom of the pages. This really help you focus on the sentence instead of searching for the word in a lexicon. The cover could be a bit better (like hardcover), but overall this is a excellent copy and a great idea for the Hebrew Old Testament.
Book Review: Excellent study tool Summary: 5 Stars
This is an excellent tool to learn and continue to practice Hebrew skills. It gives a couple of uncommon words in the bottom margin, but in my opinion it's much less distracting than a side by side translation would be. Recommend for seminary and college students alike. The cover is good quality, and it doesn't feel like a cheap book.
Book Review: Helpful for reading Summary: 5 Stars
This Hebrew Bible is one I can take to church and use without worrying about looking up unusual words. You need a couple of semesters of Hebrew first, but then this OT is great for use in class or at church. There is no critical apparatus, but BHS's apparatus is so sparse anyway, and I don't need it most of the time.
Book Review: SWEET! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the BHS Text without the Textual Apparatus or Masora Magna/Parva. It has all verbs occuring less than 50x defined (great if your Hebrew isn't fluent) and makes reading much easier! Don't trust all the definitions (they're not flawless), but it's a beautiful Hebrew Bible that makes reading much easier!
Book Review: Pleased w Amazon Summary: 5 Stars
Very pleased with Amazon on this transaction- dissatisfied with carrier, but Amazon made it right. Picture shows the box the book comes in, the cover itself is plain tan. The text is extremely valuable for a Hebrew student seeking to gain fluency. Very highly recommended!!!
