Book Review: The Best Break Through In IBS To Date

This book was amazing! It was the first book I have read on IBS that actually gets to the bottom of what really causes this awful condition. Dr. Mark Pimentel gave me such relief in knowing that IBS is not all in your head and there is a course of treatment to help cure it. I have gone through the testing at his facility at Cedars Sinai, and I'm about to start the treatment myself. For anyone out there suffering with IBS get this book! You will not be Review: Great advice if you have IBS, but are you really sure you have IBS?Summary: 5 Stars For 19 years I suffered from what I thought was IBS. This book helped, but still I did not feel normal.
Finally after following a gluten free diet I feel normal again. So if you have IBS, then this book is a must read, but if you have not been tested for Celiac disease or have not tried a gluten free diet, you might want to try it. It could save you many years of trying to figure out what is wrong with your digestive system.

This book has been a godsend for us. For the first time we really understand what has been happening to my wife and what we can do about it. We have been to doctors who believed the myth that IBS is caused by stress and anxiety and now we know that S&A are complicators and not the cause. After more than a decade of IBS suffering, Pimental's protocol outlined in this book did the trick for me. Read it, called Cedar's for a gastro referral in Northern Calif, and the rest is history. Now I'm normal again, never thought it possible! Wow...best medical advice I ever received. This is an excellent informative book, it is very important review not only for people who have IBS but also who have rheumatoid problems, or auto-immune system diseases, I believe the common reason for all is "Bacteria over-growth" but my case of Ulcerative Colitis has improved by implementing the book recommendations beside the book of "Breaking the vicious cycle" recommendations.
