Book Reviews of A Man, A Can, A Plan, A Second Helping: 50 Fast Meals to Satisfy Your Healthy Appetite

Book Review: A Second Helping; That's for Sure!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this book kind of as a gag gift for my boyfriend who can't cook. After receiving the book in the mail, I looked through it, and most of the recipes looked pretty darn eatable! My boyfriend got a kick out of the book, and plans on trying out many of the recipes! Who knows, I may get him another one for his birthday...

Book Review: wonderful gift
Summary: 5 Stars

I was familiar with the series in the Men's Health magazine so when my brother in law decided to learn how to cook , I knew it would be perfect for him. It has easy to follow instructions and the food is much healthier than regularly eating out!

Book Review: Nice layout, easy recipes ... yucky food.
Summary: 2 Stars

I'm sad to say that the food from this book is NOT very pleasing to the palette.

I'm not very good at cooking, but thought this book looked easy enough.
I've made over a dozen of the recipes ... and I've actually enjoyed ONLY 1!

The Pork Beef Stew with Sweet Potatoes ... and even then I cooked it in a crock-pot (not following the prep instructions since I'd been disappointed with at least 4 meals thus far) which made the meat very juicy and delicious.

Save your money and buy Lean Cuisine frozen dinners instead, they're cheaper, healthier and easier to make.

Great book for my 29 year old son-recently divorced and not a clue how to cook. Good and durable hardcover with cardboard pages you can wipe clean! Photos of the actual cans of stuff you need to buy to cook-most with only 4 ingredients. I may get one for my husband now!

Book Review: Perfect for the Man
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this for a coworker who is recently widowed and is clueless in the kitchen. It is easy to read, meals appear appetizing & healthy but uncomplicated. Pictures of the ingrediants are included making this very user friendly - especially for men that hate to read.
