Book Reviews of A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex

Book Review: A strong rival for Foley
Summary: 5 Stars

Chris Jericho has written a humourous book that the average fan can relate to totally. He was not an overnight sensation who had minimal exposure to the small leagues before becoming a WWE Superstar, he was a guy who started off small and continued that way for a long time.

Jericho's story is an interesting one as he combines humour with the realism of what it really must be like for a professional wrestler trying to make it big. He is not cocky and is only too open about his failures over his career.

He is also a bright guy, his most famous work occurred after he became a WWE star so he writes nothing about this in the book. Means that he will write a sequel and that is something to be looked forward to.

A strong rival with Mick Foley's first book for best wrestling book ever.

Book Review: Can Read It A Million Times!
Summary: 5 Stars

I first started watching wrestling as a full time fan when Jericho made his WWE return in 2007 and was immediately hooked. I could see the charisma pouring out of Chris every time he spoke or moved. His book A Lion's Tale: Around The World In Spandex only made me respect him more. It was extremly interesting and like his return to Raw, I was immediatley hooked. Most of the book was full of laughs such as the "Strange Kentucky People" and his Back to the Future mixup with Christopher Lloyd to his odd and strange first meetings with legend Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio (seperate events.) The book satisfied me so much that i read it a second time not to long ago and want to read it again. I cannot wait to read the sequel book about his career in the WWE. 5 stars Chris, amazing job!

Book Review: Jericho - He's Sexy...and a Great Writer!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been a huge fan of Chris Jericho for years and I was so excited to see that he wrote a book about his life. This book was so awesome and really let you get to know him as a person while telling fascinating and funny stories about his wrestling career from all over the world. I love his sense of humor and his pop culture references weaved throughout the stories. I would have liked to hear more about his relationship with his wife and kids though. I heard that he is writing another book about his career with the WWE, which was absent from this book. That should also be an interesting read. I also liked the photos that were in the book, but there could have been more as he is so easy on the eyes! I highly recommend this book to any wrestling fan!

Book Review: Great book
Summary: 5 Stars

I am not much of a reader but when it comes to wrestling I knew I would just about read anything. I ordered two books this one and Eric Bischoffs books and I got to say I read about 5 chapters of Eric Bischoffs book and put it down but when it came to Chris Jericho's book it hooked me in and I havent stopped reading it. I enjoyed the pictures and all of the added quote's that helped visualize the words written. Just when you think those ball huggers weren't that bad...they were awful, Just when you thought he didn't make cheesy wings and wear them...Yea, Yes he did and he also had a mask to match it. I would recommend this book to anyone who would love a couple of laughs and to give people insight to the world of wrestling as well.

Book Review: Funny,honest and brilliant
Summary: 5 Stars

I admit that I've been a big Jericho fan for a long time. But I'm sure even if you have no clue about wrestling business, you'll still love this book.

It reflects jericho and his wit from every chapter. There are many laugh out loud passages where I had to keep my book down and laugh for a whole minute before I could continue.

The book ends with his debut in WWE. I'm sure once he entered wwe, he settled into a rich & famous lifestyle. The book encompasses 9 years of his struggle which he never tries to define as a struggle.. He has a great attitude about all the odd jobs he was doing in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a wwe wrestler.

It's an awesome book. Highly recommended.
