Book Reviews of A Lion's Tale: Around the World in SpandexBook Review: Wonderful read! Better than have a nice day! Summary: 5 Stars
I found it rather hard to believe when people told me this book was as good or better as Mick Foley's Have A Nice Day.... But I can see now why that it!
Chris Jericho has written a wonderful and yet witty book all at the same time. He shares his hardships... and embarassing situations (TMI as to how many times he has soild himself) LOL!
I am not even done this book, however I cannot put it down despite receiveing it but only 2 days ago. I am so excited to when he writes his second book. No doubt Mick Foley will be asking for a grudge match with this one. The battle of the pens is on... I think Chris Jericho has the bigger pen!
Book Review: A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book recently and finished reading it yesterday. The book was hyped up by just about everyone!!! Well i have to agree because I enjoyed every page, Chris Jerico is a very funny guy and he has had an interesting life. I have always liked Chris Jerico as a wrestler, he has the talent become a true legend, this book only inflates my opinion of this guy!!! I was gutted when I finished the last page. I think there will be another one from him eventually.
I would definately recommend this book to any true wrestling fans, I have read several books like Mick Foley, The Rock, Rick Flair etc and this book is by far the best yet.
Book Review: Definitely one of the best wrestling bios out there. Summary: 5 Stars
I've read a number of bios and while I won't rank this as the best ('Hooker' by Lou Thesz holds that title for me), this book is definitely in the top 3. There are so many good things about this book when compared to other bios out there. To start, it's an easy read and it's loaded with good details. It's also very funny with lots of laugh out loud moments. And unlike Foley's book, it didn't need to rely on vulgarity or bathroom humour. One of the funnier stories is about the 'Jericho curse' where his first match in any territory sucks. Even if you're not a Jericho fan, this book is one that any fan, casual or hardcore will enjoy!!
Book Review: A Great Read Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this book on Christmas break as I wanted something to read on my free time and knowing Irvine's wrestling persona, I knew it would be an interesting read. I was right. Chris starts the book off with his WWE (known before as the WWF) debut then went into his early childhood and how he got interested in wrestling and life on the road, etc. He keeps the readers interested with witty one liners and quirky anecdotes. I have to admit, Jericho is a very good writer and his extensive vocabulary is impressive. If you want to know about one's man struggles, relationships, and basically his life, you should buy A Lion's Tale.
Book Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
This book was great! I ordered this book not knowing what to expect from Chris Jericho and it was a amazing book. Jericho's personality comes out in this book. He made me laugh when he would joke about things. This book shows that people can reach their dreams if they really wanted to. We are taken through his early years of wanting to be a wrestler and a rock star. Then we actually see him going for his dreams. And in the end, his dreams are captured and it is just a feel good ending. This is a good book for anyone, wrestling fan or not. Jericho's wit shines through and it is a must read.
