yes, you already know the story. if you have ever seen any of the infinite number of movies made about this story any time in the last 112 years you all ready know what happens. so, why read the book? why? because it is written humorously and beautifully. the characters are written so well that you can relate to all of them and feel acutely what ever the writer wants you to feel toward them. it is also one of Dicken's shorter reads.
