This is an amazing book. I bought the first edition when I was pregnant with my first child and thought it was awesome. Now it has been reprinted and updated with photographs of the fetus using modern technology. I got the new one for my daughter who is expecting her first child. I just can't believe the photos in the new book! She is enjoying viewing and learning about her baby's development. This book is a compilation of amazing photos of the development of a child from conception to birth.Book Review: Wonderful reference

My mother had an early version of this book in the 70's. I remembered it fondly and purchased this updated version when I became pregnant. The information is very helpful and the photos are priceless. Really gets you into the experience. I reference it each week to see what my baby looks like. I highly recommend this book to all expectant mothers. Also good reference for siblings awaiting the new arrival.Book Review: Great book!

This book is great! I enjoyed the pictures very much. I had read all the reviews and decided it was a good choice. Those reviewers that claimed the book's pictures were too graphic/offensive need to open their minds. After all, childbirth is a somewhat graphic, yet beautiful thing. What a great book! I bought it for the totally amazing photography! But, it has so much information and will be a great learning tool for my kids when they get older! I love the pictures, and the dialog throughout the book on what the pictures are showing on the processes the body goes through are wonderfully done. I would recommend this book to any expectant mother or father. The pictures are very informative and give an amazing view into whats happening in the body as your pregnancy progresses.
