I've seen some negative comments about The Fiery Cross - and there is an explanation for its being less than Gabaldon fans have come to expect. It's not my business to explain it and that's all I'm going to say. If you want more of Claire and Jamie, you'd better start over - I just did. AND, you can always buy The Outlandish Companion or the Lord John Grey novels.Book Review: Can't get enough!

I've read all the books in the Outlander series. It's like coming home to your own family when you pick up this story. I let myself read only a half hour a day so I can savor the story and the people and the writing!
I've only enjoyed Barbara Kingsolver as much as this writer.
The characters are all too human and not romanticized. It's a pleasure.

The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is wonderful. This most recent book does not disappoint her readers. There is so much history as well as wonderful characters. I met the author last week at a book review. She is a marvelous speaker, very intelligent and entertaining. She promised there would be one, if not two, more books in this series. In all my years of reading I believe Diana Galbadon is truly one of the greatest
authors I've come across. The Outlander series is intriguing and one I don't ever want to end. In reading series usually one or more of the books will be lacking in intensity but this is not the case in the Outlander series. Always waiting for the next book.

The Jamie and Claire series of books is outstanding. You get romance, action, history and time travel all rolled up into one. Each book is better than the last and A Breath of Snow and Ashes was touching and heartbreaking at the same time because Diana Gabaldon has brought us characters we know and love. I can't wait for the next one!
