Book Review: entertaining, provides a little problem-solving exercise

Another in Patterson's prodigious output, this novel is part of the Women's Murder Club series. Part of its interest lies in the issues it raises of friends who have professional responsibilities that at times require secrecy from one another. This newest of the series includes all the elements we've grown to expect: murder of the most bizarre and horrific type, scientific explanations and research to aid in finding solutions, romance challengd by job responsibilities, courtroom drama, and the occasional madman. Each of the women characters remains true to form, and that is part of the series' charm; its predictability takes the edge off the horrors the characters face. Perfectly satisfactory light reading.Book Review: Keeps getting better

I've been a fan of The Women's Murder Club series for a long time and did enjoy each book, however, James Patterson's new one, 7th Heaven, is a big disappointment. There was no character substance. There was basically 2 stories going on in this book; one was about a missing rich kid and the other story of 2 kids who started fires and killed people. Both stories had no depth and both were uninteresting. As I was reading this book, I had hoped the stories would develop more and get more interesting, but both were flat. It felt like James Patterson just was in such a rush to get another Women's Murder Club book out, he threw it together with no thought.
It's a good thing I didn't buy this book and got it from the library!
