Book Review: Very clear and easy to understand

I was in the same situation as another reviewer. I purchased my first boat at the age of 43 (20 ft bowrider) and was docking, loading and unloading my boat like a pro after two outings. Even my first trip was easy. I will be honest I was shocked at how easy it is to dock a small boat. I am certain without this book and Chapman's big book (A must buy also for new boaters) I would still be struggling and making many mistakes (and damaging my new boat)

Nothing made it more clear to me that it was the right book to buy when I went to the lake on memorial day weekend and saw all the people banging their boats up (and almost taking mine out). I saw all the common problems clearly discussed in this book happen right before my eyes.

Quote from the book, "The most common gear used in docking....NEUTRAL"

This book is what you need to give you the confidence you need to properly dock your boat even in high winds.

I strongly urge newbies to buy this book, I would also suggest this book to people that are having problems docking, moving up in size (From one engine to twin) or considering using a slip as the various types of docking situations are discussed in detail.
