Book Review: Simply Thrilling by Dee Lundgren, Christian Counselor Summary: 4 Stars
I found myself looking forward to the next moment of free time where I could get back to my first James Patterson book. The main character, Lindsay Boxer, is off duty dining with her friends, when she responds to her partner's request to accompany him on a car chase. The chase involves 2 teenagers crashing and then shooting both Lindsay and her partner. Lindsay ends up firing back killing a 13 year old girl and paralyzing her 15 year old brother. Things go from bad to worse when Lindsay is charged with wrongdoing since she had tested legally drunk when she had been involved in this shoot-out. Lindsay takes a leave from the force until the trial to spend time in her sister's home minutes from the ocean. Coincidentally, the sleepy town that Lindsay chooses to take a rest, involves her in investigating several murders involving married couples. These murders resemble a John Doe case Lindsay had been unable to solve 10 years ago. The suspense has unpredictable twists and turns and is positively a thriller!
