Book Reviews of 2nd Chance (Women's Murder Club)

Book Review: Great Read!
Summary: 4 Stars

The Women's Murder Club is back and looking into their second case together. When a someone is killing seemingly random people, the police naturally assume the crimes are racially motivated. A surprising link between the victims puts everyone, including the police, even more on edge.

While each of the women look into the case in their own way, they also deal with a personal life crisis or two. Lindsay's absentee father has come back looking for a second chance to be her dad, Jill's pregnant, and Cindy's too attracted to a man she needs to have a professional relationship with.

James Patterson easily shifts between murder and normal life, making them equally compelling. The story is extremely fast paced between Patterson's penchant for super short chapters and his work a plot twist like nobody's business. 2nd Chance is just as good 1st to Die and promises even more thrilling cases in the future.

Book Review: has better stories than the the Cross 4 Stars

ok i still prefer the Cross
but lately the Cross series is going downhill in terms of story.......
but Women's Murder club has pretty good stories.........
though unlike Cross series this books has 4 central characters......
Cross stories has its own excitment and thrill........
maybe in tht Department Murdel Club is a bit behind.....
but over all the story is much better in the Murder CLub........
2nd chance is a pretty good book......
but i think the 1st was Review: Quick but good read.
Summary: 4 Stars I admit that these are a guilty pleasure. After reading Step on a Crack, I about gave up on Patterson; I thought it was maudlin and that his writing was "lazy"...relying on too many characters he had used in the past. I actually think that having a co-writer makes these stories better. Although certainly not requiring much brain-power, they are just plain fun to read.

Book Review: Balanced
Summary: 4 Stars

Picked this up for another trip to Europe and eagerly finished it. I continue to enjoy the interplay of the four women. I do wish that Jill's character was developed just a little more. There were a few pieces that even after finishing confuse me, but perhaps that's part of the mystery. I'm curious to see if the Aaron Winslow character continues in the series.
