Excellent book. I just love ...what if's... especially when it comes to WWII. This is an especially chilling look at an alternate history and a good account on what it would be like if our homeland were invaded.... Unfortunately, just when it's at it's best....

Not quite as meticulously done as Harry Turtledove's "Guns of the South, but a surpisingly plausible scenario. Like another reviewer, the only thing that I found hard to believe was the massive US demobilization after the Great Pacific War (but then,look at the US when Korea happened) Newt, don't be like Herman Wouk and keep us wating nine years for a sequel!
